SHARED VISION THROUGH INCLUSIVE, MULTI-BENEFIT REGIONAL PLANNING
Develop, Collect and Analyze Data at a Variety of Spatial Scales to Inform Priority Projects/Actions
MCFSC seeks to contract with a GIS mapping professional to assist our County Coordinator in developing an online, interactive, data-rich, publicly available countywide map. This map will contain data layers on all wildfire risk-mitigation projects countywide to help us overview, understand and prioritize project plans in coordination with CAL FIRE. Data will inform our upcoming Mendocino County CWPP update. By increasing staff skills, the project will provide affordable in-house mapping capacity for all future CEQA and grant applications. The project also includes documenting training protocols for future staff, significantly boosting our organizational capacity into the future.
