HEALTHY, SAFE AND RESILIENT COMMUNITIES
Address Climate Change and Extreme Event Effects, Impacts and Vulnerabilities
Regional Parks would like technical assistance from engineers at local RCDs to design rainwater catchment and distribution systems at two parks where springs and well water have run dry, making water unavailable to support park operations other than hauling in water by truck, or ceasing vegetation management activities due to lack of water. Regional Parks would like to obtain assistance in designing rainwater catchment systems to support resilient landscape management and wildfire protection for adjacent communities in Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park.
