CLEAN AND ABUNDANT WATER FOR HUMAN COMMUNITIES Protect and Enhance Watersheds and Ecosystems that Provide Water Quality and Supply Benefits
This project included the removal of a seasonally used flashboard irrigation dam, construction of a boulder riffle, a pumping facility, fish screen and over 5 miles of pipeline in order to provide year-around fish passage for Klamath River salmon and to improve water quality in the Shasta River. The successful completion of this project represents a collaboration between multiple stakeholders including 5 independent ranchers, multiple regulatory agencies, 5 different funding agencies, engineers, contractors, Siskiyou County and the Shasta Valley RCD.
