NCRP RFFC Technical Assistance (DOC)
Implementation
NM-ERA requests $15,000 in NCRP Technical Assistance with grant development to support three shovel-ready projects in our severely economically disadvantaged community: Tan Oak Park Hazard Tree Removal, Defensible Space Implementation, and Forest Health Workforce Training Center. Project Description Narrative (1,000 character limit)
Unprecedented wildfires have created new funding opportunities for our severely economically disadvantaged region, but a trained local workforce is lacking. NMERA, in partnership with Families and Friends United by AIDS, seeks technical assistance to develop three grant applications: a Forest Health Workforce Development and Training Center at Tan Oak Park, Defensible Space Plan implementation, and a hazard tree removal and risk reduction project. These initiatives will build local capacity for forest restoration, support landowner education, and foster a regenerative, resilient local economy.
