HEALTHY, SAFE AND RESILIENT COMMUNITIES Address Climate Change and Extreme Event Effects, Impacts and Vulnerabilities
BLR desires to expand its ability to provide access to stored water and supports for its Tribal Members along with supporting regional emergency response efforts in the event of a large-scale disaster. BLR's facilities have been deemed ideal due to its location, air visibility and size to support agencies such as the CHP, Cal Fire, OES, Humboldt County Sheriff's Dept., United States' Coast Guard (USCG), Blue Lake School, PG&E, American Red Cross and more.
