NCRP CAL FIRE Forest Health Pilot
Deferred/Unfunded
The Project prioritizes improvement of forest ecosystem health and resilience. The forested habitat is in decline due to lack of management, fire exclusion, human impacts and invasive plants. Project objectives include fuel reduction, invasives removal and ecosystem restoration over 144 acres. Additional benefits include enhanced public safety, by reducing wildfire threats and improving emergency access for local law enforcement agencies and fire response agencies departments. Recreational uses for hunting, fishing, equestrian, mountain biking, hiking, birding and kayaking will be also improved.
