  • Disadvantaged Community
The Humboldt County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) is a comprehensive countywide initiative, containing recommendations and tools intended to benefit all residents, including Tribes and Economically Disadvantaged and Severely Disadvantaged Communities. NCRP's Interactive Map indicates that the majority of Humboldt County is economically disadvantaged, and it appears that much of the non-public land, including the Yurok and Hoopa Reservations, is severely disadvantaged. This project seeks to enhance wildfire mitigation planning and implementation capacity while fostering interorganizational collaboration. The goal is to develop a shared spatial tool for visualizing and tracking CWPP projects and relevant fire planning layers.
