Project Description Narrative (1,000 character limit)
This project intends to test and document the best treatment methods that can be used to reduce fire fuels creating a healthy forest on the Preserve in ecologically sensitive and difficult areas. The existing Fire Risk Abatement Plan process will be used to incorporate and test different treatment methods to create "calming zones," an area to slow or stop wildfires and create a defensible space from the Preserve and the residences on Fitch Mountain.
